OUR MISSION

Bringing the Kingdom of God to our world one life at a time.

We exist to build God's Kingdom, which is marked by people growing in the Gospel to love God and love each other.  We believe this is best done "one life at a time" where every person matters and is loved no matter where they are at in their journey with Christ.

OUR HISTORY

Westosha Lakes Church began in 2005 to connect people throughout Western Kenosha County, or "Westosha", to love God and love each other.  We started as a campus of Kenosha Bible Church, meeting at Central High School. Over the next two years, we hit a growth point where it was time to launch as a church with Kenosha Bible's blessing.

God brought our Senior Pastor, Jeff Talbert, to us in 2007.  In 2008, God helped us launch our first daughter church, “Armed & Dangerous Biker Ministries”, under the leadership of biker Pastor Ralph Scherer. Pastor Ralph's calling was and is to reach out to bikers across Southeastern Wisconsin and care for hurting people.  That same year, God led us to pray for His provision of a building, instead of launching a capital campaign.  In 2009, God answered our prayers by the  gracious hearts of Grace Valley Bible Church who gifted their church building to us as well as their members to join our church family.

We were blown away at God’s gracious provision of a paid-for building and wonderful new brothers and sisters in Christ. That gift of a building also had a small ministry of giving away food to 14 families per month that soon became our Helping Hands Ministry.

Over the past 11 years, God has grown the ministry to serve over 250 families per month and has given away over 700,000 pounds of food to families throughout our community!

God has stretched us to be a church that loves and blesses our community in tangible ways, and that has grown our faith and helped us become a church where everyone is welcome. We are excited to see how God will lead us in the future and invite you to join us in our journey!
